Job Description:

The Model/Analys/Valid Officer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business.

Job Responsibility:

Develops, enhances, and validates methods of measuring and analyzing risk
Manages model risk across the model life-cycle
Produces analytics and reporting used to manage risk
Translates operational requests into programming and data criteria
Assists in development of analytic engines
Communicates results to diverse audiences
Conducts analysis and packages into technical documentation
Participates on teams to solve business problems
Identifies modeling opportunities
Provides guidance to junior validators
Manages stakeholder interaction
Represents bank in regulatory interactions
Presents model validation findings
Provides effective challenge to model assumptions
Assesses and quantifies model risk
Contributes to strategic initiatives

Requirements:

6-10 years experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on MS Excel
Experience using SAS or similar statistical coding software
Experience in quantitative role in risk management at financial institution
Good knowledge of model development and validation testing techniques
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
potentially Masters degree
