Join Barclays as a Quant Developer in Analytics Platform team within the wider Core Strats and Quantitative Analytics (QA) group. The Analytics Platform team oversees the development standards for QA, and drives the efficiency and simplification of the technological landscape. This includes providing the interface and orchestration layer to in-house analytics libraries. The role focuses on development of the Analytic Service, a major initiative aimed at redesigning APIs to improve how analytic libraries interact with IT systems and end-users.
Job Responsibility:
Design, development, and maintenance of high-performance trading platforms, risk systems, and applications catering to the needs of traders and market participants
Collaboration with traders, strategists, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technological solutions
Implementation of new features, enhancements, and functionalities on trading platforms to improve performance, reliability, and user experience
Stay updated on technological advancements, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement in trading platforms
Collaboration with cross-functional teams including business aligned SM&D teams, strats, compliance, and IT to address system issues and implement solutions
Requirements:
Strong python skills, encompassing the full lifecycle of design, development, testing, release and maintenance
Good C++ coding skills
Strong communications skills
Experience in financial application development, such as pricing and risk systems, ideally in the Rates space
Nice to have:
Fundamentals of how Rates instruments such as bonds, swaps and swaptions are priced and risked
Experience of building and maintaining REST APIs
Development experience on Windows and Linux platforms, including use of Docker
