Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Quantitative Analytics Specialist to perform model validation and monitoring activities. The role involves developing, implementing, and calibrating various analytical models, performing complex business analysis, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Candidates are expected to have strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R, SQL), domain knowledge in lending products, and attention to detail.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop, implement, and calibrate various analytical models
  • Perform highly complex activities related to financial products, business analysis and modeling
  • Perform basic statistical and mathematical models using Python, R, SAS, C++ and SQL
  • Perform analytical support and provide insights regarding a wide array of business initiatives
  • Provide solutions to business needs and analyze workflow processes to make recommendations for process improvement in risk management
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers, and regulators to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Assess model design, methodology, assumptions, data quality, and performance metrics
  • Perform back-testing, benchmarking, and sensitivity analysis to evaluate model robustness
  • Prepare comprehensive validation reports and communicate findings to model owners and senior stakeholders
  • Ensure models comply with internal policies and regulatory standards

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Quantitative Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Master's degree or higher in statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, economics, or quantitative discipline

Nice to have:

  • Strong understanding of data manipulation/wrangling, statistical and machine learning algorithms
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R, and SQL for data analysis and testing
  • Experience in reviewing and documenting model development and validation processes
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of lending products such as personal loans, credit cards, and mortgages
