Job Responsibility:
Handling and Storage: Safely handle and store raw materials, including optical glass blanks, lenses, and other optical elements
Inspection: Inspect optical glass for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications
Cleaning: Preparing and thoroughly cleaning all materials according to specifications
Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy and quality of cut lenses and optical elements using precision instruments
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production metrics, quality checks, and equipment performance
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Collaboration: Collaborate with the production team to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot minor issues on cutting equipment and perform basic maintenance
Requirements:
Knowledge of optical glass materials and their properties
Proficiency in quality inspections
Proficiency in optical cleaning
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Familiarity with precision instruments and measurement tools
Associates Degree in Optical or Mechanical Engineering Technology Preferred
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required
