Job Responsibility:

  • Handling and Storage: Safely handle and store raw materials, including optical glass blanks, lenses, and other optical elements
  • Inspection: Inspect optical glass for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications
  • Cleaning: Preparing and thoroughly cleaning all materials according to specifications
  • Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy and quality of cut lenses and optical elements using precision instruments
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production metrics, quality checks, and equipment performance
  • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the production team to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot minor issues on cutting equipment and perform basic maintenance

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of optical glass materials and their properties
  • Proficiency in quality inspections
  • Proficiency in optical cleaning
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with precision instruments and measurement tools
  • Associates Degree in Optical or Mechanical Engineering Technology Preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required
