Job Description

At Nestlé Purina PetCare, we’re a “safety first” culture, driven by a zero accident, zero defect, zero waste mentality. As the Product Safety Technician, you will be responsible for managing and supporting Food Safety programs. You will perform pest control duties (treating for insects and removal of wildlife and pests) throughout the factory. You will conduct routine audits of the facility and outside storage facilities. You will also monitor physical, chemical, and biological food safety hazards and implement control measures.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform integrated pest management program in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Administer, maintain, and coach the factory sanitation programs to ensure that all products are manufactured in a sanitary environment
  • Provide support and guidance to all departments regarding Food Safety issues
  • Coordinate training and development of employees for all factory food safety programs
  • Manage chemical supplies and sanitation services including, waste removal, custodian, yards, and grounds
  • Support departmental coverage as needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years of working in food safety, pest control, or industrial sanitation in a manufacturing, industrial or related environment
