Job Responsibility:

  • Collect and test finished product samples to ensure that all pet food products manufactured by the OKC facility meet specifications of NPPC
  • Responsible for timely and accurate generation & completion of analytical, formulation, process and product information for the manufacturing of our pet foods
  • Analyze finished product using various test methods, including wet chemistry
  • Perform formulations including format, bin bottoms, ingredient changes, and fines utilization
  • Perform sensory evaluations of in process and finished product
  • Investigate & communicate all quality results plus recommend corrections to production personnel
  • Use various software applications for data entry, investigation, and analysis
  • Maintain Instrument calibrations
  • Execute hold product procedures in a timely manner
  • Analyze data and release product through formal release & GLOBE programs
  • Sample and test incoming ingredients

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required, Associates or B.S. degree preferred
  • Experience 2+ years working in a food manufacturing environment OR A two-year degree in a science–related area of study
  • 1+ years of quality assurance experience preferred
