Job Responsibility:
Collect and test finished product samples to ensure that all pet food products manufactured by the OKC facility meet specifications of NPPC
Responsible for timely and accurate generation & completion of analytical, formulation, process and product information for the manufacturing of our pet foods
Analyze finished product using various test methods, including wet chemistry
Perform formulations including format, bin bottoms, ingredient changes, and fines utilization
Perform sensory evaluations of in process and finished product
Investigate & communicate all quality results plus recommend corrections to production personnel
Use various software applications for data entry, investigation, and analysis
Maintain Instrument calibrations
Execute hold product procedures in a timely manner
Analyze data and release product through formal release & GLOBE programs
Sample and test incoming ingredients
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required, Associates or B.S. degree preferred
Experience 2+ years working in a food manufacturing environment OR A two-year degree in a science–related area of study
1+ years of quality assurance experience preferred
