Job Description:

The Quality Technician 1 will be responsible for inspecting and testing manufacturing processes and products to ensure quality standards are met. They will work with inspection and test equipment, following proper procedures and documenting findings to maintain product quality and record traceability. The role is part of a larger mission to improve global health through medical discovery, diagnostics, and care delivery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor production processing via random QA audits
  • Conduct quality inspections using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Perform statistical analysis on select processes and report findings
  • Assist with problem-solving, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results
  • Ensure compliance with specifications for incoming materials and outgoing products
  • Verify production personnel adherence to correct procedures
  • Assist in training production operators in QA measurement procedures
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures and work instructions
  • Audit and maintain compliance with required quality management system standards
  • Provide detailed quality reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to management
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by quality management

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in Quality Assurance (Preferred)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in enforcing SOPs and product specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • HS Diploma/GED required
  • Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required, depending on the location

  • Accurately identify, document, and report any non-conforming items, defects, damages, or discrepancies found during the inspection process
  • Initiate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and collaborate with the quality team to determine the disposition of rejected materials (e.g., return to vendor, rework, scrap)
  • Maintain meticulous, accurate, and up-to-date records of all inspection results, test data, and quality documentation in the company's quality management system (QMS)
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with procurement, engineering, and production teams to address and resolve quality-related issues promptly
  • Provide feedback to suppliers regarding material quality and compliance, contributing to supplier performance management
