We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Quality System Specialist to strengthen and advance our Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and to support system development in preparation for IATF 16949 certification. Job Responsibility:
Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements, while strategically aligning the system with IATF 16949 standards
Lead the company’s transition toward IATF 16949 certification, including gap analysis, project planning, and execution
Ensure ongoing compliance with all customer-specific requirements, external standards, and internal policies
Lead the internal audit program and ensure audit coverage supports certification requirements
Manage corrective and preventive actions from audit findings (internal and external), customer feedback, and quality incidents
Ensure timely closure and effective root cause resolution of all corrective actions
Oversee document control for procedures, work instructions, forms, flowcharts, PFMEAs, control plans, and quality alerts
Standardize and align core quality documents with IATF 16949 and AIAG expectations
Monitor and respond to customer portals (e.g., scorecards, NCRs)
Support supplier development initiatives related to quality compliance and IATF expectations
Lead and support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities across new product launches
Oversee the creation and maintenance of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation for all levels
Coordinate cross-functional teams in FMEA, control plan, process flow, gage R&R, and capability study development
Promote a proactive quality culture through the use of data, KPIs, and quality tools such as root cause analysis
Lead IATF readiness initiatives, including internal training, gap closure, and third-party audit preparation
Partner with engineering, production, and management to embed quality into design, development, and operations
Requirements:
10+ years of work-related experience in Quality Control and/or Advanced Manufacturing (Required)
Prior experience is quality systems role within an automotive manufacturing environment (Required)
Post secondary education in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
In-depth understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001 required. Must possess ISO9001 Internal Auditor Certification
Hands-on experience with IATF 16949 and automotive customer requirements. Must possess IATF 16949 Internal Auditor Certification
