The Quality Engineer will be primary responsibilities for ensuring the quality and airworthiness of assembly components and repairs carried out at the Safran Power Units Dallas, Inc. The role involves the development, management, and communication of quality assurance methodologies to ensure compliance with all applicable internal and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure the quality and airworthiness of assembly components and repairs
Develop, manage, and communicate quality assurance methodologies to ensure compliance with all applicable internal and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with various functions to ensure quality standards are established and adhered to on all processes, programs, maintenance/repair and throughout the supply chain
Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable quality and reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements and perform follow-up verification for effectiveness of corrective measures
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities
Prepare reports required to support customer and company operations
Coordinate with SPU quality engineering and support staff to ensure accurate and timely response to customer inquiries and issues
Visit customer sites, host customer visits, and attend meetings as necessary to promote positive customer relationships
Manage suppliers: Ensure that quality assurance plans (system, product, transfers) are developed by suppliers
Work with Purchasing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented
Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply
Maintain and update supplier audit log and schedule
Perform customer interface and manage flow down of customer requirements
Liaise with the internal/external organizations/customers on quality issues and corrective actions
Manage customer satisfaction from the quality perspective
Requirements:
> 5 years experience
Knowledge of electronic components, mechanical components and material used for production/repair of hardware
Ability to assess compliance with program requirements, contract, and engineering documentation
Ability to design and analyze quality inspection and testing processes
Ability to conduct quality assurance audits
Ability to conduct comprehensive root cause/corrective action on nonconformities
Ability to perform relevant monitoring activities at supplier sites (product/process/procedure audits/other interventions, tec.)
Ability to travel required – 20%, including internationally
