Carex is partnering with a well-respected manufacturing company to hire a Quality Supervisor. This role is responsible for supervising, training, and coordinating department activities while supporting quality processes, product quality meetings, ISO compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills with a desire to grow into a management role.
Job Responsibility
Lead product quality and company quality meetings, ensuring proper data is available, reviewed, and used to identify trends, issues, and corrective actions
Assign and follow up on action items, ensure meeting minutes are documented and distributed, and conduct monthly reviews of quality reports with the team
Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, manufacturing teams, and Quality Inspectors to support the design, production, and shipment of quality products that meet customer expectations
Support department planning, annual goal setting, budgeting, variance follow-up, and procurement of tools and resources
Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to establish responsibilities, maintain positive communication, and improve departmental efficiency
Assist with hiring, orientation, training, performance management, career development, and overall employee development for department personnel
Formulate, implement, and review ISO procedures related to the department, while working with the Quality System Coordinator to maintain ISO processes
Instruct employees on procedures and work instructions, communicate company and departmental plans and progress, and maintain reporting on department activities
Participate in job-related training, learn organizational processes and procedures, and escalate deviations, unfamiliar situations, or significant guideline exceptions to management
Complete special projects, requests, and other duties as assigned in a timely and positive manner
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field
or an Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field with 4 years of Quality experience
1-3 years of previous supervisory experience, or 4–6 years of Quality experience gained through increasingly responsible positions within a Quality Department
Knowledge of company policies, quality processes, and ISO procedures
Strong motivation, leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Computer skills and the ability to use data to identify trends, support decisions, and drive follow-up actions
Initiative to carry out recurring assignments independently while knowing when to escalate problems, deviations, or unfamiliar situations
Ability to learn formal management practices, apply established procedures, and grow within an entry-level management role
