We are seeking an experienced Quality, Safety & Risk Manager to join a leading healthcare provider operating a network of diagnostic imaging centres, outpatient clinics, and community healthcare facilities across Ireland. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving the organisation's quality, safety, risk management, and compliance agenda across multiple sites. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee accreditation programmes, and foster a culture of continuous quality improvement throughout the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position will work closely with senior management, clinical leaders, and operational teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care, governance, and organisational performance.
Job Responsibility
Lead and manage the Quality & Compliance Team, providing direction, support, and oversight
Partner with local clinical and operational teams to ensure consistent implementation of quality, safety, and risk initiatives across all locations
Provide strategic leadership for quality governance and risk management frameworks
Oversee the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the organisation's Quality Management System (QMS)
Lead the development, review, and implementation of policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines in line with best practice and regulatory requirements
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centred care across the organisation
Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and legislative requirements
Lead accreditation and re-accreditation programmes, including international quality standards
Oversee internal audit programmes and associated quality assurance activities
Provide expert guidance and support to senior leadership and clinical teams on quality, safety, compliance, and governance matters
Act as the primary liaison with regulatory and external accreditation bodies
Develop and manage the organisation's complaints management framework
Ensure complaints are appropriately investigated, responded to, and resolved
Identify trends and lessons learned, implementing corrective and preventative actions
Analyse patient and customer feedback and make recommendations to improve services, processes, and standards
Establish and oversee robust audit and data collection processes
Ensure clinical audit programmes are implemented and maintained in line with recognised healthcare standards
Analyse quality and performance data and prepare reports for executive leadership
Ensure data validation processes meet accreditation and regulatory requirements
Support training and development of staff involved in audit and quality monitoring activities
Lead the organisation's risk management programme, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting
Maintain organisational and site-specific risk registers
Promote a proactive risk management culture across all departments
Support managers and clinical teams in managing operational and clinical risks effectively
Work collaboratively with HR and Operations teams to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
Support site managers in implementing and maintaining health and safety standards
Ensure appropriate health and safety training programmes are in place across the organisation.
Requirements
Degree-level qualification in Quality Management, Risk Management, Healthcare Management, Nursing, Allied Health, or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior quality, risk, compliance, or governance role within healthcare
Demonstrated experience leading quality and risk governance frameworks
Experience implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Proven track record managing regulatory compliance, inspections, and accreditation processes
Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
Strong stakeholder management experience, including engagement with senior leadership teams and external regulators
Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across multiple healthcare sites
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with healthcare accreditation standards such as JCI, ISO, CHKS, or equivalent
Experience within diagnostic imaging, outpatient, primary care, or community healthcare settings.
