Job Responsibility:

Assisting customers on the As-Is shop floor, being curious to understand their needs and providing your expert knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions
Presenting and pricing IKEA products on the As-Is shop floor in a commercial way and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the store
Prioritising giving products a second chance by repackaging them back into a saleable condition where possible
Regularly assembling IKEA furniture while always securing that it is assembled according to the instructions to ensure complete functionality
Within the store, communicating the quality message and quality reporting process to constantly improve customers' quality perception of IKEA products
Always considering the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover and recycle products
Building strong relationships within your team and with other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment
Always acting as a safety ambassador and following the appropriate procedures and ways of working to ensure safety is a top priority

Requirements:

A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work effectively independently
Someone who is passionate about the IKEA range, enjoys assembling furniture, and has a sustainability mindset
Goal oriented and a motivated problem-solver
Experience with regular use of computers and IT systems, with the ability to learn and apply new systems
A strong customer focus – you enjoy answering customer queries and assisting in helping them find solutions
The ability to think outside the box and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced operational environment with competing priorities
Comfortable with regular physical work and manual handling, including repetitive lifting and bending
