Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting customers on the As-Is shop floor, being curious to understand their needs and providing your expert knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions
  • Presenting and pricing IKEA products on the As-Is shop floor in a commercial way and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the store
  • Prioritising giving products a second chance by repackaging them back into a saleable condition where possible
  • Regularly assembling IKEA furniture while always securing that it is assembled according to the instructions to ensure complete functionality
  • Within the store, communicating the quality message and quality reporting process to constantly improve customers' quality perception of IKEA products
  • Always considering the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover and recycle products
  • Building strong relationships within your team and with other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Always acting as a safety ambassador and following the appropriate procedures and ways of working to ensure safety is a top priority

Requirements:

  • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work effectively independently
  • Someone who is passionate about the IKEA range, enjoys assembling furniture, and has a sustainability mindset
  • Goal oriented and a motivated problem-solver
  • Experience with regular use of computers and IT systems, with the ability to learn and apply new systems
  • A strong customer focus – you enjoy answering customer queries and assisting in helping them find solutions
  • The ability to think outside the box and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced operational environment with competing priorities
  • Comfortable with regular physical work and manual handling, including repetitive lifting and bending
