International’s IC Bus Plant is growing, and we’re looking for a Quality Operations Supervisor who is passionate about leading and developing people while delivering strong quality results. This hands-on role is ideal for a leader who enjoys coaching teams, building trust on the manufacturing floor, and creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You will lead Group Leads and up to 50 hourly employees, supporting their growth while ensuring quality, safety, and performance goals are achieved. Partnering closely with Operations, Tooling, Staffing, and Forecasting, you’ll help protect the customer by empowering teams to own quality at every step of the process. The IC Bus Plant runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:00AM – 3:30PM). This role will support production and may need to cover production recovery times including Fridays and weekends as needed.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, coach, and develop Quality Inspectors and Group Leads to build a high performing, engaged team
Own and continuously improve the inspection process to ensure customer protection and zero tolerance for quality deviations
Drive root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methods and ensure timely, effective corrective actions are implemented
Partner with manufacturing leadership to establish, execute, and sustain containment actions when quality issues arise
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Tooling, Engineering, and Staffing to resolve quality concerns and improve processes
Track, analyze, and report plant KPIs related to quality, safety, cost, and delivery, and use data to drive decisions
Lead daily quality reviews and communicate trends, risks, and action plans to stakeholders
Support visual management systems and standard work to reinforce quality expectations on the shop floor
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of production/manufacturing experience
Master's degree and at least 1 year of production/manufacturing experience
At least 5 years of production/manufacturing experience
Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
