We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to oversee and enhance quality systems within a manufacturing environment in Wixom, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory compliance and operational excellence, with a focus on aerospace standards. This role requires a proactive leader committed to driving continuous improvement and ensuring adherence to industry certifications.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and oversee quality assurance systems, ensuring compliance with AS9100D and ISO 9001 standards
Lead audits and ensure alignment with regulatory and certification requirements
Drive initiatives for process improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and performance
Implement and monitor corrective action plans to address quality-related issues
Analyze data using tools such as Pareto analysis and 8D problem-solving to identify trends and root causes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Provide leadership and coaching to enhance team capabilities and support skill development
Develop and maintain documentation for quality systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Actively participate in system improvement efforts, contributing to operational excellence
Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high-quality standards and addressing concerns promptly
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
At least 8 years of experience in manufacturing quality, with aerospace experience preferred
Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within a quality management function
Proven expertise in AS9100D and ISO 9001 environments, including audit and compliance
Lean Six Sigma certification required
Black Belt preferred, Green Belt acceptable
Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques, including Pareto analysis and 8D
Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills with a focus on collaboration
Experience driving system improvements in a manufacturing environment
