Are you passionate about driving excellence in adult education? Buckinghamshire Adult Learning is looking for an experienced and inspiring Quality Manager to lead our Quality, Additional Learning Support and Operations functions. This is a pivotal role within our senior management team, shaping the learning experience for thousands of adults across the county. You’ll champion high standards, foster continuous improvement, and help us move confidently towards our ambition of becoming an outstanding provider.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead expert on quality, compliance and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the full annual quality cycle
  • Manage Ofsted readiness and improvement planning
  • Lead Matrix inspections
  • Ensure robust Internal Quality Assurance across all curriculum areas
  • Work closely with senior managers to enhance teaching, learning and assessment
  • Support staff development
  • Lead learning walks and OTLAs
  • Ensure quality processes are well understood and consistently applied
  • Manage the Quality and Additional Learning Support teams
  • Ensure learner feedback is used meaningfully to enhance the service

Requirements:

  • Experience in quality assurance within FE or ACL
  • Experience supporting or leading Ofsted activity
  • Solid grasp of IQA practice (including RARPA)
  • Proven ability to embed and monitor effective quality systems
  • Teaching qualification
  • Experience in post‑16 education
  • Highly organised
  • Skilled at balancing a varied workload
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
