We are seeking a driven and hands-on Quality Manager to lead and strengthen Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This individual will play a critical role in safeguarding product integrity, regulatory compliance, and customer confidence while serving as a key partner to Operations, Sales, and cross-functional leadership using state-of-the-art technology to drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of technical expertise, people leadership, and a proactive mindset, with the ability to influence quality culture across the facility.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, coach, and retain a high-performing Quality team through structured training, mentoring, and accountability
Lead the design, execution, and ongoing improvement of Food Safety and Quality systems spanning raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, customer, and internal standards through effective monitoring, validation, and documentation practices
Own corrective action processes related to third-party audit findings, including BRCGS, and support plant-wide education and adherence to quality expectations
Serve as the site lead for hazard analysis and risk assessment activities, including team leadership and program oversight
Partner closely with Operations to identify risks early and implement preventative solutions that support safety, quality, and productivity goals
Coordinate and conduct annual food safety program reviews, internal audits, and required training initiatives. Oversee monitoring and verification of Critical Control Points (CCPs)
Act as a liaison between commercial teams and plant leadership to resolve customer or consumer concerns and implement sustainable corrective actions
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to deliver actionable insights and quality performance data
Maintain productive working relationships with regulatory agencies and stay informed on emerging regulations and industry best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Engineering or related field
Minimum of 7 years of packaging experience, with direct responsibility for quality and food safety programs, including HACCP, BRCGS, GMPs, and ISO standards
Proven proficiency in root cause analysis and statistical process control (SPC)
Demonstrated success leading a team of quality professionals
Hands-on experience preparing for and leading third-party audits
Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving production environment
