The Quality Manager is responsible for leading all quality assurance and control activities within the plant to ensure that products meet company standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role oversees the implementation of quality systems, drives continuous improvement in alignment with SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) performance metrics, and fosters a strong culture of quality and operational excellence. The position plays a key leadership role in supporting fabrication operations, working closely with production, engineering, logistics, and supply chain to ensure consistent product quality and efficient problem resolution.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure adherence to all Safety and Quality standards across fabrication and assembly operations
Own the Quality component of the SQDC scorecard—driving metrics such as defect rate, customer complaints, scrap, rework, and first-pass yield
Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues
Oversee product and process audits to ensure compliance with standards and continuous improvement
Manage quality documentation, including control plans, inspection criteria, and testing procedures
Partner with Production and Engineering to reduce downtime related to quality holds or rework
Support process improvements that increase throughput and reduce waste or material losses
