Quality inspector

• Perform routine and department-specific Quality Inspection, auditing, compliance, and Critical Process inspections throughout the plant in a standardized, efficient, and repeatable manner
• Provide training to others on critical-to-quality product and process criteria
• Move boats to various locations (repaint, outside, warehouse, etc.) manually or by pallet jack and assist in heat-shrinking boats as required
• Works on special projects geared towards product or process improvement
• Serve as a gatekeeper for customer satisfaction and a quality leader within the facility
• Ability to perform independently as well as in a team role, possess good organizational skills and ability to follow instructions
• Actively participate in and work in a safe manner
• Work overtime as required
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read drawings and specifications
• Must have solid mechanical skills, utilize basic math and reading skills, ability to utilize hand and power tools
• Must have computer, math and reading proficiency and ability to use databases
• Ability to receive and follow instruction
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to change with attention to detail

Computer skills and knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and LSS is a plus
