Carry out inspections on materials, components, and finished products to make sure everything meets drawings, specifications and customer or international quality standards
Check quality at every stage from incoming goods through to final dispatch
Read and interpret technical drawings or other engineering documentation to make sure everything is correct with purchase order requirements
Help keep us compliant with industry standards like ISO, EN, and rail safety requirements
Record findings clearly and keep quality systems up to date
Spot issues early, raise non-conformances, and support improvements via corrective actions
Work closely with customer service, projects, procurement and supply chain teams to solve problems and improve quality
Make sure inspection tools are calibrated and used correctly at all times
Requirements:
Proven experience in a quality inspection role or significant experience within engineering or manufacturing, ideally within the rail, aerospace, or heavy industry sectors
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and measurement tools
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems
Experience identifying and managing non-conformances and corrective actions
