Quality Inspector (QC/QA Auditor)

• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality concerns
• Train staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices
• Administer training tests and track team member training status
• Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of transmission components and assemblies
• Identify and document defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities and work with production teams to resolve issues
• Ensure inspection procedures follow established guidelines
• Develop and implement quality control processes and standards
• Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports for management
• Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment
• Participate in root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
• Lead Kaizen bursts to implement process improvements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in quality assurance
• Associate's degree or higher in a related field (Automotive Technology, Engineering Technology) preferred
• Experience with quality control tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Skill in identifying defects and deviations from specifications in mechanical parts
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
• Computer skills, including spreadsheets
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and/or quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus
• Lift and carry up to 35 lbs
• Stand, walk, and interact with people for extended periods
• Comfortable working on a factory floor with moderate to high noise levels
