Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable & Harness Inspector to support our team in Halifax,Nova Scotia, Canada. This is a full-time, first-shift 4 month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cable and harness inspection, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Job Responsibility:

  • Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections of cables and harnesses
  • Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
  • Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
  • Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
  • Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
  • Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances
  • Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods
  • Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620 & J-STD W/Space Addendum
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
  • Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components
  • Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills
  • Must be a Canadian citizen
  • Must have a valid passport as you would need to travel to California

Nice to have:

  • Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school
  • college degree in engineering
  • 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector
