We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable & Harness Inspector to support our team in Halifax,Nova Scotia, Canada. This is a full-time, first-shift 4 month contract. Job Responsibility:
Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections of cables and harnesses
Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances
Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized
Requirements:
Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods
Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620 & J-STD W/Space Addendum
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components
Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills
Must be a Canadian citizen
Must have a valid passport as you would need to travel to California
Nice to have:
Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school
college degree in engineering
5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector
