Requirements

  • Strong ability to interpret detailed blueprints and technical specifications
  • Proficiency in basic math, measurement tools, and inspection processes
  • Basic blueprint reading knowledge is preferred (training is available for the right candidate)
  • Communication & Detail-Oriented: Strong communication skills for reporting quality issues, along with the ability to maintain detailed inspection records and documentation
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • additional technical certifications in quality control or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in a quality inspection or manufacturing role, with hands-on experience in blueprint reading and product testing
  • Ability to stand and walk for majority of the shift (approx. 80%)
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally, with the use of forklifts and material-handling equipment as needed
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling may be required for certain inspection tasks
  • This position will be required to work 2nd shift, 1pm-9pm, M-F

  • Collect samples and verify container, components and over-pouch meet quality standards, verify the accuracy & legibility of the print and check for indications of leakage
  • Examine and verify that the packaging equipment’s performance meets quality standards
  • Test and confirm that the equipment is passing/failing batch information and product properly
  • Collect samples of produced materials (i.e. membranes, bags, tubing, frangibles) and visually inspect for irregularities and verify dimensions are within specification
  • Perform seal integrity testing on a sample of produced materials
  • Employ various methods of testing such as freeze mode, destructive oven testing and striation testing
  • Make minor operational decisions and provide direction and guidance in the absence of the Quality Associate
  • Train and act as a resource to other Quality Inspectors
  • Participate on teams to drive improvement to processes and equipment
