We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable & Harness Inspector to join our team in Hudson, NH. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule of 1–2 days per week on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in cable and harness inspection, excellent attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering high-quality work. Job Responsibility:
Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections at one or more client suppliers in Hudson, NH and surrounding areas
Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances
Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules
Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized
Requirements:
Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods
Familiar with IPC-A-620 standards
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components
Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills
Proven ability to de-escalate workplace conflicts effectively
Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder) to comply with ITAR
Nice to have:
Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620
Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school
college degree in engineering
Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
Preferred: 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector
What we offer:
50% hourly rate for any travel time ("p2p")
Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.70 per mile driven). Untaxed
