Job Responsibility

  • Perform part inspections: Assist with dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of manufactured parts to verify conformance with customer specifications and quality standards
  • Documentation & reporting: Record inspection results, support nonconformance documentation, and help maintain quality records to ensure traceability and continuous improvement
  • Support quality processes: Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to help improve inspection workflows, maintain measurement equipment, and uphold Xometry’s quality system

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, graduating in December 2026 or May 2027, with a minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the internship period (June 8 - August 14, 2026)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for problem-solving and a desire to drive results
  • Ability to provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
  • Ability to commute to our Lexington, KY or North Bethesda, MD office to work onsite for at least 3 days a week

  • Carrying out Patrol Inspection Audits across manufacturing areas

  • Supporting corrective action activities and maintaining MOE reporting metrics
  • Creating and managing non-conformance notifications where required
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across inspection and quality processes
  • Working closely with manufacturing, inspection and quality teams to ensure products meet required standards
  • Using systems such as Qpulse QPM, SAP and Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation activities
