Job Description
Gen2 is currently recruiting a Quality Improvement Manager (TLA) to join their operation based in Cumbria. This position will initially be offered as a 12-month contract, working 30 hours per week. You will need to be flexible and able to work from any of our three locations: Carlisle, Workington, or Furness, however, you will be contracted to the site closest to your home. Travel expenses between sites will be covered. The Gen2 Quality Improvement Manager for Teaching, Learning and Assessment leads the development and implementation of high-quality teaching and assessment in line with Ofsted standards.
Job Responsibility
Deliver professional development, mentoring and training to trainers and lecturers
Support innovation in pedagogy including effective use of digital and AI technologies
Act as an exemplar practitioner to promote a strong professional culture
Support teacher education and pedagogical programmes
Monitor the impact of CPD on learner outcomes
Work collaboratively with managers to develop a skilled, motivated and high-performing teaching workforce
Develop and implement the Teaching, Learning and Assessment strategy
Observe and evaluate teaching practice, identifying strengths and areas for improvement
Use insights to shape individual and organisational CPD
Requirements
Proven and substantial experience in teaching, learning and assessment within Further Education (FE) or the skills sector, particularly in work-based learning
A Level 4 Teaching Qualification
Support tutors to develop outstanding delivery via coaching and mentoring them to develop their TLA practice in a classroom, workshop and workplace
The ability to use a range of software packages and bespoke software such as e-portfolio system(s)
Extensive knowledge of the regulatory and statutory requirements of teaching, such as Ofsted and the EIF
Strong analytical, administrative and organisation skills and great attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with an eye for detail and good report writing skills
Good communication and presentation skills - both written and verbal
The ability to build effective relationships, both internal and external
Ability to problem solve, work independently, and identify key priorities
Nice to have
Relevant coaching qualification at appropriate level
Experience of using a wide range of educational data systems
Current experience of managing the improvement of TLA process within a complex organisation
