Job Responsibility:
Provides consultation, education and professional support for Hospital‑wide and departmental quality improvement programs, projects and initiatives
Educates and advises on methods, tools and techniques for monitoring and assessing quality of care and compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements
Provides support for implementation and evaluation of hospital and unit/department based quality improvement programs and serves as project manager for designated programs/projects
Designs and administers customer surveys and analyzes, interprets and presents results
Plans and conducts educational programs for hospital staff
Provides consultation for medical staff, management and hospital departments
Participates in and provides support for hospital and unit/department based committees, programs and special projects
Serves as project manager for designated hospital quality improvement projects, programs and initiatives
Analyzes and interprets data and prepares and presents recommendations to improve quality of care
Responds to requests for data from insurers and other external organizations
Maintains knowledge of current professional and industry trends and practices
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management or a closely related field required
Master’s degree preferred
Two years of data management experience in a clinical setting is required
Equivalent combinations of education and experience in data management may substitute
Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in depth, experienced based knowledge
Communication skills in order to persuade and negotiate with others on important matters
