We are looking to recruit a Quality Improvement Coach who is an IQA‑qualified professional with strong expertise across Early Years and Teaching Assistant qualifications. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in quality assurance and a deep understanding of sector requirements to support continuous improvement across teaching, learning, and assessment. As our Quality Improvement Coach, you will be the quality expert and champion of continuous improvement across the learner journey. Working closely with Personal Tutors, Operations Managers and wider teams, you’ll provide practical coaching, insightful feedback and data-driven solutions that raise standards and improve outcomes. This is a highly influential role where your work will directly impact the quality of teaching, learner progress, success rates and inspection readiness – helping Shaping Lives deliver on its mission every day.
Job Responsibility:
Driving continuous quality improvement through Learner Experience Reviews (LERs) and curriculum deep dives aligned to the Education Inspection Framework (EIF)
Coaching and supporting Personal Tutors through observations, 1-1s, mentoring, CPD and sharing best practice
Designing and delivering impactful CPD sessions across Early Years and the wider business
Conducting formative and summative sampling of learner portfolios and leading standardisation activities
Supporting new Personal Tutors through their first 3 months in post
Collaborating with Operations, EPA, Portfolio & Product teams to improve delivery, materials and learner outcomes
Analysing learner, employer and performance data (including Power BI) to identify risks and drive improvement
Contributing to the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
Supporting success rates, QAR improvement and learners approaching or exceeding planned end dates
Promoting safeguarding, GDPR compliance and a culture of integrity and excellence
Requirements:
Proven experience within a quality function in the apprenticeships sector
Strong knowledge of Ofsted and the Education Inspection Framework (EIF)
Occupational competence and qualifications in Early Years
Experience coaching, mentoring and developing others to achieve high standards
A track record of using quality improvement principles to positively impact learner outcomes
GCSE English and Maths (A–C) or equivalent
Level 5 Early Years qualifications
Level 3 Teaching qualification (AET/PTLLS or equivalent)
Level 3 Assessor qualification (TAQA/CAVA/A1 or equivalent)
