Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate placement student to join our growing team at Octopus Energy’s heat pump factory in Portadown, Northern Ireland. As a Quality placement student, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products manufactured within our organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include performing various quality control tests, inspections, and audits throughout the production process to identify and address any deviations or defects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create and update visual aids
  • Perform in-process and final product inspection
  • Develop work instructions, component specifications and inspection plans
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, supporting problem solving investigations and the introduction of New Products (NPI)
  • Drive a continuous improvement ethic

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled on a university degree in a relevant field and requiring a 12 month placement
  • Ability to be on-site every day at our Portadown heat pump factory
  • High degree of integrity
  • Good communication skills
  • Clear and concise writing skills
