Dexter is the premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets has an opportunity for Quality Engineer at our manufacturing facility located in Fremont, IN.
Job Responsibility:
Advise on provisions to minimize quality issues
Develop and implement required quality documents
Perform regular process audits
Drive root cause and corrective actions
Work with Engineering and Production to address any internal quality concerns and corrective actions
Prioritize quality improvement activities
Utilize quality improvement training, activities, and policies
Manage all documentation and reporting requirements for the quality system
Develop performance improvement targets for quality
Conduct customer surveys to solicit feedback
Perform statistical analysis and data analysis
Perform gage calibration, product testing, and maintain records
Participate in quality audits
Demonstrates hands on mechanical capabilities, problem solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building skills in productive team environment
Develop reports of product conformance
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or a related field
5-7 years of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably in high-volume metal fabrication (e.g. forming, cutting, and welding)
Automotive or transportation sector experience a plus
