The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
Job Responsibility:
Establish/assess quality performance criteria in the execution of Program requirements
develop/establish/maintain processes and metrics that support contract and AS9100 (latest rev.) requirements
contribute technically to Design/Project Reviews, V&V assessments, and Technical Boards
review work documents and procurement documents to ensure proper application of inspection requirements
create, update and validate Acceptance Data Packs
initiate, follow-up, and ensure closure of non-conformances
obtain/maintain MR/MRB certification and support technical assessment of nonconforming products
develop sampling plans
maintain statistical process controls
analyze data by completing hypothesis testing (ANOVA) and process capability analysis tests
prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
making recommendations
maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
reviewing professional publications
establishing personal networks
benchmarking state-of-the-art practices
participating in professional societies
contribute to team effort by mentoring team members and documenting quality processes
perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution
at least 4 years of experience
experience in the area of Quality or other technical role
excellent communication, presentation and customer interface skills
ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects without missing deadlines or sacrificing accuracy
ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment
must be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and be able to work independently or with minimal supervision
must be able to coordinate work between multiple project disciplines
computer experience with Microsoft Office products, Internet browsers, and outlook
must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if necessary
must possess and maintain a valid CDL with endorsements Florida driver’s license
must pass a federal background investigation
must comply with all “drug free workplace” requirements
