Job Description:

Are you a detail-driven Quality Engineer looking to make a real impact in a fast-paced, high-performance engineering environment? We're looking for someone just like you to join our growing team and help drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance, and maintain the highest standards of product quality and reliability. As a Quality Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our operations - working across departments to analyse data, identify root causes, and implement robust corrective and preventive actions. You'll play a key role in supporting production, solving quality issues, and ensuring that our products consistently meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor and improve production processes through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • Analyse and report on key quality metrics including defect rates, scrap, rework, and customer complaints
  • Investigate quality issues flagged during production and support decision-making on rework, scrap, or use-as-is
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence
  • Maintain and manage the calibration system for inspection and measurement equipment
  • Conduct routine checks on route cards and ensure accurate and timely work order closure
  • Provide training and support to production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques
  • Perform surface measurements and inspections during first-offs, in-process checks, and final checks
  • Support supplier evaluation, qualification, and auditing processes
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other applicable standards

Requirements:

  • Experience in a quality assurance or inspection role within an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and other manufacturing quality standards
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing drawings, tolerances, and measurement techniques
  • Proficient in using inspection tools such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Strong time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks or projects effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
  • Good PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Awareness of Health and Safety standards and regulations
