Quality Engineer

• Lead root cause investigations and deliver corrective and preventive actions
• Analyse key quality performance metrics including scrap, defects, rework and customer complaints
• Investigate in-production quality issues and support decisions on rework, scrap or acceptance
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to resolve issues and prevent recurrence
• Maintain calibration systems for inspection and measurement equipment
• Conduct routine checks on route cards and ensure work orders are closed accurately and on time
• Provide training and support to production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques
• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections, including surface measurement checks
• Assist with supplier evaluation, qualification and auditing activities
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100 and other relevant industry standards

• Experience in a quality assurance or inspection role within engineering or manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 or similar quality frameworks
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
• Solid time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Good PC literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• MRP/ERP experience is advantageous
• Awareness of Health & Safety regulations
