Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with product, development, and QE teams to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Design, write, and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data for functional and non-functional testing
  • Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and API-based applications across different environments
  • Perform various types of testing, including: Functional testing
  • Integration testing
  • Regression testing
  • Smoke and sanity testing
  • Exploratory testing
  • User acceptance testing (UAT) support
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools, ensuring clear reproduction steps and thorough documentation
  • Validate bug fixes and verify that issues are resolved without introducing regressions
  • Analyse test results and provide clear feedback on product quality, risks, and release readiness
  • Work closely with automation engineers by identifying test scenarios suitable for automation
  • Ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements
  • Participate actively in sprint ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, standards, and best practices
  • Support release activities by executing regression suites at various checkpoints in the release cycle
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during production issues or critical deployments when needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical or business field
  • 2- 4 years of experience working as a Manual Test Engineer or Quality Engineer
  • Strong experience in manual testing of web applications
  • Hands-on experience creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
  • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Scrum methodologies
  • Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Qmetry, Azure, or other similar tools
  • Basic understanding of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries for data validation
  • Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar (manual execution)
  • Exposure to cross-browser testing tools and mobile testing on real devices and emulators/simulators
  • Experience supporting regression cycles and release validations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
