We’re searching for a Hardware Systems Quality Engineer. The primary objective of this role is to ensure quality in manufacturing, supply chain, and vehicle integration in support of the development and production of the Aurora Driver. A successful candidate is data-driven, excels at complex problem solving, has a strong quality and product focused mindset, and can lead cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate systemic problems, issues and risks.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, develop, and support test and inspection plan creation in accordance with required specifications
Perform tests and inspections according to Quality plans and procedures to record & analyze data, document and report results
Create and maintain documentation and records of test operations
Troubleshoot, debug, and perform general root cause analysis for software and hardware faults and defects
Perform cable and harness assembly testing and troubleshooting
Operate inspection and test fixtures or equipment, with ability to train others as required
Support the activities related to non-conforming product(s) and returned material authorization activities (Material Review Board)
Participate in audit and manufacturing process audit activities
Actively participate in continuous improvement activities
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years of experience in quality, autonomous vehicle manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly operations, robotics or equivalent field experience
Experience with programming and scripting (C++, Python or equivalent)
