Job Description

The jobholder will be responsible for the listed activities related to quality assurance during assembly, integration, and test phases for space sector projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Acting as the main point of contact for quality matters for the relevant project(s) throughout the assembly, integration, and test (AIT) phases, including interfacing with other departments such as Manufacturing Engineering, Materials and Processes, AIT management etc.
  • Performing and coordinating inspections (incoming and outgoing inspections, KIPs, MIPs)
  • Managing non-conformities and deviations raised during the AIT phases, including organizing, conducting, and documenting internal Non-Conformity Review Board (NRB) meetings
  • Preparing quality assurance documentation such as the Quality Assurance Plan, Quality Control Plan, inspection reports, etc., and contributing to other project documents such as the KIP/MIP Plan, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Action Plan (PA), etc.
  • Traveling to support test campaigns from the QA perspective (frequently abroad)
  • Identifying and implementing measures to reduce the cost of quality (such as reducing inspections and sampling)
  • Initiating and leading the Root Cause Analysis process for critical and repetitive issues in the area
  • Organizing and managing reviews such as Integration Readiness Reviews (IRRs)
  • Promoting a preventive quality mindset within the AIT team, ensuring the implementation of basic quality processes (quality authorization, quality delegation, operational surveillance, etc.)

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent (Physics, Chemistry, etc.)
  • fluent in Spanish (at least C1)
  • fluent in English (at least C1)
  • at least 5 years of experience in the quality assurance domain for space sector projects
  • experience working in a cleanroom and with hardware: performing inspections, monitoring integration activities, etc.
  • familiarity with ECSS standards
  • good stakeholder management skills
