The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all aluminium formwork systems—from pre-delivery inspection to on-site assembly and dismantling—adhere to strict safety, dimensional, and structural standards. You will be the gatekeeper for 'right-first-time' construction to minimize honeycombing, leakages, and structural deviations.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct Incoming Material Inspection of aluminium panels and accessories (pins, wedges, wall ties) to ensure they meet design specifications
Perform Pre-Pour Inspections to check for alignment, plumbness, and water-tightness of the formwork
Monitor the application of shuttering oil to ensure a smooth finish and easy striking
Ensure the Formwork Cycle Time is maintained without compromising safety or quality
Supervise the striking (dismantling) process to prevent damage to the green concrete or the aluminium panels
Maintain the Quality Assurance (QA) manual and ensure all site activities follow the approved Method Statement
Prepare and maintain Checklists, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and Daily Quality Reports
Conduct periodic audits of the formwork inventory to identify panels needing refurbishment or replacement
Requirements:
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Deep understanding of Monolithic Construction (Mivan/Aluminium technology)
Familiarity with IS codes and international standards for concrete tolerances
Basic proficiency in AutoCAD (to read formwork layouts) and MS Excel for reporting
