Job Responsibility:
Performing first piece, in process, and final inspections of products to verify compliance with specifications, including documentation
Conducting functional and dimensional testing using appropriate tools and equipment
Verifying documented inspection, test data, traceability information is accurate, and GDP is maintained
Assisting in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for non-conformances in conjunction with cross-functional teams
Maintaining calibration and proper use of inspection and measurement instruments
Supporting internal audits and regulatory compliance activities
Collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues promptly, including continuous improvement
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferably a technical certification or associate degree
1–3 years of experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment
Basic math and measurement skills
Strong attention to detail
Problem solving abilities
Ability to learn and follow detailed procedures
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 25 lbs
Dexterity to handle, inspect, and test fine wire
Ability to perform detailed visual inspections of fine medical wire and components, including detection of minute defects and accurate identification of color-coded materials, with or without reasonable accommodation, including corrective lenses
Ability to accurately distinguish color-coded wires, markings, and indicators used in the inspection and quality verification process
Interest in quality control and continuous improvement
Familiarity with basic inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, and microscopes is a plus
Team oriented and dependable
