Job Responsibility:
Monitor and report on plant QMS/EMS objectives on a monthly basis
Prepare reports for Management Review meetings
Develop and implement parameters for quality testing of parts and chemistries
Monitor, test and inspect product to ensure they meet OEM standards, NSS, Thickness and other requirements of specification
Work with sales team to facilitate customers RFQ, PPAP, Trials, OEM Specifications and APQP
Conduct regular meetings with suppliers for product/process improvements and QMS objectives
Actively maintains and updates generic Control Plan, PFD, PFMEA, Process/Product parameters matrix, Work Instruction
Assist in all areas of the EMS/QMS implementation and compliance
Performs SPC studies, reports, data and communicates to shop floor for customer problems and resolution
Participates in plant CI projects
Addressing all customer complaints
Addressing all internal quality/environment issues
Spill reporting and environmental compliance
Environment reporting and record keeping
Purchasing and raw material inventory control
Calibration of all EMS/QMS measuring and testing equipment
Supervision of employees in the lab
Hazardous and non-hazardous waste management
PM programs for weekly, monthly and annual on processing lines equipment and waste treatment equipment
MSDS/SDS maintenance
Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager
Demonstrate competence to carry out duties of Supervisor under the Occupational Health and Safety act
Maintain compliance to all health and safety standards
Requirements:
Post-secondary education with certifications in Quality Control System or minimum two years of working experience in quality department (automotive experience is an asset) including PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA
Familiarity with electroplating processes is an asset
Ability to read and interpret mechanical blue prints
Ability to use or learn measurement tools related to plating / coating industry
Able to conduct root cause analysis using various problem-solving techniques including 8D, 5 Ways, Corrective/Preventative action process and submission
Experience in effective customer and supplier communication to maintain relationships
Nice to have:

Familiarity with electroplating processes
