Job Description

We’re looking for a Quality Control & Own Label Coordinator to help drive standards for own-label and third-party products, ensuring legal compliance and supporting continuous improvement in processes, systems and supplier engagement. You will act as a subject matter expert for Quality and compliance across our distribution centres, depot, warehouses and shops, ensuring business quality standards are met and reducing risk through robust compliance and audit processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Inspecting inbound and outbound goods, recording checks, and driving corrective actions
  • Partnering with suppliers, warehouse teams, and commercial functions on product quality and own-label specifications
  • Reviewing and approving packaging, labelling, and compliance documentation
  • Engaging suppliers on product standards, packaging, and corrective action
  • Coordinating packaging and labelling approvals
  • Supporting depot managers with compliance reviews and audits

Requirements

  • Previous quality control or quality assurance experience in warehouse/distribution FMCG, or retail
  • BA Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or equivalent
  • HACCP, BRC, or ISO certification desirable
  • Strong knowledge of UK food safety regulations and labelling standards
  • ERP/WMS system knowledge
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, capable of establishing genuine and productive connections
  • Strong in being planned and organised with attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Skilled in risk management, root cause analysis, and audit preparation
  • Able to interpret quality metrics and drive performance improvements
  • Flexible to support multiple sites and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
