Our client, a rapidly expanding and innovative leader in the beef processing industry, is seeking a results-driven Director of Quality Control to lead and continuously improve their food safety and quality programs at their Madill, Oklahoma facility. This is a high-impact, floor-present leadership role – not a desk job – for someone with deep expertise in beef processing and a command of regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess the operational instincts to drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the plant floor. This is a unique opportunity to establish the Quality Control function from the ground up within an organization experiencing exponential growth.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage all Quality Control functions across production, including in-process monitoring, finished product inspection, and daily floor presence
Ensure full compliance with USDA regulations, BRC certification standards, and all applicable food safety requirements
Own product specification adherence
Identify and resolve quality deviations in real time
implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
Partner cross-functionally with Production, QA, and Operations leadership
Track and analyze yield performance metrics
report trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Manage and develop QC staff
Oversee finished goods verification processes
Maintain all required documentation, QC logs, and records
Requirements:
Proven leadership experience in Quality Control within a USDA-regulated, SQF- or BRC-certified meat or protein processing environment
Deep knowledge of food safety systems, regulatory compliance frameworks, and process control methodology
Experience specifically in beef processing is strongly preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret yield data, QC metrics, and production performance indicators
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
Hands-on leadership style
Excellent communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Science, or a related field preferred
Must thrive in a fast-paced, high-action environment
