We are looking for a Quality Consultant to support performance improvement, regulatory readiness, and patient-centered quality initiatives in Palo Alto, California. This Long-term Contract position will partner with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to strengthen patient safety, elevate the patient experience, and improve care delivery through thoughtful analysis and practical recommendations. The role focuses on translating data into action, guiding cross-functional teams, and advancing compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and licensing expectations.
Job Responsibility
Lead enterprise-level quality and performance improvement projects that enhance patient safety, care outcomes, and service excellence across clinical and operational areas
Analyze clinical, financial, operational, and patient experience data to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and recommend measurable improvements
Work closely with leaders, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to design action plans, define milestones, and maintain momentum on high-priority initiatives
Evaluate high-risk, high-volume, or problem-prone processes and develop evidence-based strategies that reduce variation, improve reliability, and support cost-effective care
Prepare reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that clearly communicate findings, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership teams
Support regulatory and accreditation compliance efforts by reviewing practices, monitoring quality indicators, and helping align policies and procedures with required standards
Facilitate education and training activities that promote quality methods, patient safety awareness, and consistent adoption of improved workflows
Coordinate with IT, informatics, finance, and analytics teams to validate data sources, strengthen reporting accuracy, and support informed decision-making
Monitor project performance over time, adjust plans as needed, and negotiate priorities and timelines to keep initiatives aligned with organizational goals
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in healthcare quality improvement, performance management, regulatory compliance, or a closely related consulting function
Strong capability in data analysis, metric reporting, and interpretation of clinical, operational, financial, and patient satisfaction information
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other reporting or database tools used to organize, analyze, and present findings
Ability to lead complex projects, manage competing priorities, and drive implementation across cross-functional teams
Knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures, accreditation expectations, and evidence-based quality practices
Effective communication and training skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present recommendations clearly
Strong planning, research, and process improvement abilities, including development of practical strategies and monitoring methods
