Job Description:

Quality & Compliance Auditor – Children’s Services. Covering portfolio of homes and schools, West Midlands to Wiltshire.

Job Responsibility:

  • To deliver independent assurance on service-level compliance with statutory regulations and internal quality frameworks, identifying risks, areas of non-compliance, and opportunities for improvement
  • The primary focus of this role will be the Group’s residential children’s homes and supported accommodation services
  • Each audit will typically require three working days: Day 1–2: On-site assessment (file reviews, staff/young people interviews, observations). Day 3: Report writing and submission
  • This is a hybrid role, requiring regular travel to conduct audits across the Group’s services

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023
  • Experience of auditing, inspection, or quality assessment in children’s social care with experience within Supported Accomodation
  • Ability to analyse evidence and make sound judgments on compliance and risk
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to present findings clearly and constructively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to engage with staff, children, and young people
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to deliver audits within agreed timescales
  • Ability to maintain independence, integrity, and professional objectivity
  • Driving licence, access to a car, and willingness to travel regularly for work purposes
