Job Description

The Quality Clerk is responsible for auditing, analyzing, and reviewing processes within the department.The Quality Clerk ensures compliance to in-house specifications, standards, and good business practices. Additionally, the Quality Clerk will provide training support to supervisors.

Job Responsibility

  • Review production and efficiency standards within operation
  • Perform random audits throughout project
  • Attend quality monitor sessions with manager and client
  • Recommend ideas to improve production standards
  • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly statistical information to management staff regarding quality assurance
  • Review/recommend training of all staff
  • Monitor production goals
  • Perform customer service silent monitoring sessions
  • Examines project operations for accuracy and conformity to contractual guidelines
  • Receive cross-training for all projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to provide effective coaching and feedback to staff with ultimate goal of team success
  • Ability to process and retrieve information from a computerized database
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows based software (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a courteous and professional service level at all times

  • Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) verification audits for both inbound and outbound orders, in the commissary (including cooler/freezer), at the Amtrak railyard/train platform, and on board Amtrak trains, effectively communicate and help resolve all discrepancies identified
  • Ensure that the QA Process VPS Tools and Business Process SOPs are in compliance
