We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Tester to support a contract assignment in Cincinnati, Ohio. This contract position is ideal for a senior-level IT testing specialist who can drive thorough validation efforts across web-based applications and related workflows. The engagement is expected to begin at the end of May and continue through July, with a focus on delivering reliable test coverage and high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and validation activities to ensure application quality and functional accuracy
Perform a combination of manual and automated testing for web applications, using Selenium to improve efficiency and repeatability
Identify, document, and track defects with clear supporting details, then work closely with stakeholders to confirm resolution
Validate system behavior across user scenarios, edge cases, and regression cycles to reduce production risk
Support broader IT testing efforts tied to organizational initiatives when needed, ensuring consistent quality standards are maintained
Use tools such as Zendesk and other tracking platforms to manage issues, communicate testing outcomes, and maintain visibility into progress
Collaborate with technical and business teams to clarify expected results, resolve ambiguities, and strengthen overall test readiness
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in quality assurance testing within an IT environment, including senior-level testing responsibilities
Strong hands-on background in both manual testing and automated browser testing with Selenium
Ability to create structured test documentation and execute comprehensive test coverage across multiple scenarios
Experience identifying defects, documenting findings clearly, and supporting issue resolution through retesting
Familiarity with Zendesk or comparable ticketing and issue management tools
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a contract-based assignment
Availability to support a permanent engagement beginning at the end of May and continuing through July
