Nelipak Elsham – a leading flexible packaging business has an excellent opportunity for an organised and dedicated individual to permanently join our team! We are seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Technician working 4 on/4 off (2 days/2 nights). Purpose of the role- To provide support to the factory Quality System as directed by the Quality Manager/Quality Co-Ordinator.

Job Responsibility:

  • Re-work material that has been quarantined from previous 24 hours
  • Support the volume coming off the 3rd Slitter running medical
  • Support the release of medical products that will be supplied direct from Extrusion
  • Carry out internal Quality audits of the quality systems including product, 5’s, hygiene, glass and Insects audits
  • Supervise quality records and retained samples
  • Organise materials in quarantine, maintain records, and notify relevant personnel
  • Control of positive release
  • Generate / control process control check sheets from the customer / internal specifications for lamination
  • Carry out material analysis for product development and corrective action investigations
  • Perform and report product inspection / testing for: Materials in Quarantine
  • New materials / development
  • Others as directed
  • Input non – conforming material information on to the computer for reporting purposes
  • QA Administration work as assigned including Filing
  • Other projects as assigned including WCM
  • Assist in all Quality Areas Cross – Functional
  • Any other tasks commensurate with the role

Requirements:

  • Experience within Quality Assurance
  • Be willing to learn new skills
  • Good observational skills required along with good attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels
  • Team Player self-motivated
  • Assertive with a dynamic positive “can do” attitude
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Operate the D-count and/or Bac-T Alert rapid testing systems for the purpose of verifying sterility in incubation samples
  • Assure that product conforms to post-process pH and micro testing standards
  • Play a key role in investigating product safety issues from the microbiological perspective
  • Batch microbiology media and safely operate an autoclave
  • Operate a pH meter. This includes calibration and maintenance
  • Monitor the temperature of the incubation rooms
  • Calibrate and verify lab equipment as required
  • Maintain accurate records of all test results in the appropriate logs
  • Responsible for updating daily incubation reports and QPA database
