Job Description

To build and maintain a culture of quality and safety standards at CB’s Distribution Centre (Freetown). The Quality Supervisor for the cold storage warehouse plays a critical role in ensuring that all CB Foods’ chilled and frozen products are stored and maintained, upholding industry standards and regulations.

Job Responsibility

  • Build and maintain a culture of quality and safety standards at CB’s Distribution Centre
  • Develop, implement, and continually review quality control procedures for chilled and frozen chicken and pork products
  • Conduct regular inspections of incoming and outgoing products
  • Monitor temperature, humidity, and storage conditions
  • Supervise and lead a team of quality technicians and attendants
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities
  • Generate and analyze quality performance metrics
  • Continuously evaluate existing quality control processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address quality concerns
  • Provide information to resolve customer complaints
  • Manage product recalls or quality emergencies
  • Provide training to employees
  • Coordinate training sessions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in natural sciences/ Associate degree in Agriculture or equivalent qualification
  • Completion of training in various Quality Management Systems including but not limited to ISO, HACCP, SQF, GMP
  • Supervisory experience and certification
  • Strong knowledge of QMS processes and procedures in food and agriculture
  • An effective communicator with the ability to prepare and present data and reports
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Microsoft Office

  • Supporting the management of QA team, ensuring tasks are completed in line with schedules and trackers
  • Monitoring of micro results and initiating any investigations as required
  • Working closely with the hygiene team to ensure swabbing and hygiene audits are completed in line with schedules
