Job Responsibility

Directing activities of N.D.T. and Quality Control Inspectors
Performs constant surveillance of fabrication activities including fitting, welding, bolting, lay-down assembly, cleaning and painting
Maintains records of welder qualifications and checks records of inspections
Coordinates with shop supervision to assure timely performance of inspections
Works with maintenance department for calibrating welding machines
Calibrates tapes and paint gauges with inspectors and shop supervision
Prepares weld qualification tests and controls welding and testing thereof
Resolves in-process non-conformance corrections and obtains engineering approval for repairs
Notifies plant supervision and engineering of continuing or recurring problems
Responsible for adhering to all company safety and OSHA regulations

Verify and document welder qualifications

Ensure compliance with QatarEnergy LNG systems and processes, including the Project Management System. Engage contractors and applicable third-party organisations with a professional approach and maintain a good working level relationship
