• Monitor and ensure compliance of Welding N285.0 program
• Monitor and ensure compliance of Welding N299 program
• Develop an internal quality audit plan based on QC Manual and SOPs
• Perform internal audits and provide internal audit reports to ensure compliance
• Provide monthly dashboard reporting
• Provide statistical analysis reports for various areas – NCRs, weld repairs, etc.
• Perform annual Management Review meetings
• Training of personnel in elements of the QA Manual to ensure compliance with N299 requirements as well as Nuclear Safety Culture
• Utilize quality and problem solving tools to ensure continuous improvement in Quality System
• Generating new WPS/PQR
• Revision to existing WPS and determine if requalification is required
• Liaise with production for testing of new welders
• Preparation of new ITPs from drawings and project specifications in a timely manner
• Revising existing ITPs from customer comments and/or drawing revisions
• Create and update NDE matrices based on ITP and drawings
• Review of purchase orders from Nuclear customers (BWXT, Bruce Power, OPG, etc)
• Create/modify checklists to ensure all items have been incorporated
• Liaise with QC to ensure all items have been completed prior to shipment
• Issue quality report summary for nuclear jobs to management including deficiencies noted and proposed solutions
• Generating NCRs when required based on deficiencies noted
• Liaise with relevant personnel to determine resolution of NCR and ensure timely close out
• Generate CAR when stated on the NCR
• Liaise with relevant personnel to determine proposed corrective action and ensure timely close out
• Update NCR/CAR logs
• Implement a preventive action system and determine root cause using 5 whys, etc.
• Tracking of customer NRs and OSD&Ds and ensure timely close out
• Create and maintain lessons learned and use of experience database
• Create and track internal and external audits performed by customers and regulatory bodies and ensure any deficiencies are closed in a timely manner
• Ensure customer feedback is recorded and responded to in a timely manner
• Evaluate existing suppliers based on N299 and determine quality level
• Evaluate new suppliers
• Liaise with engineering to determine when supplier audits are required
• Perform vendor audits as required
• Request and update supplier certifications
• Update and maintain ASL to keep current
• Tracking of CARs as a result of supplier audits and ensure timely close out
• Create PMI checklists based on drawings and PMI addenda
• Assist with shop inspections when required
• Assist with quality system documentation, compiling history dockets, etc
• Assist in writing SOPs and creating work instructions
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules for equipment
• Monitor and ensure all inspection and testing have been completed for jobs
• Review of final history dockets to ensure compliance with Code and customer requirements
