We are looking Quality Assurance Engineer for our Business Unit Heat & Gas Systems (BU HGS) Qingdao Marine site. You are working in our Engineering & Supply organization, and you are part of Quality assurance team. As a quality assurance engineer, you will be ensuring product and process quality in accordance with legal requirements, Alfa Laval standards / specifications, and customer expectations. You will work proactively to identify risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives. While not directly responsible for manufacturing quality, you will collaborate closely with the Manufacturing Quality Team to ensure consistent standards and alignment. You will report locally to the E&S Quality assurance team leader. You work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization, including suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Take responsibility of quality complaint analysis from internal and external customers, identify root causes and take permanent corrective actions
Mange the supplier performance for assigned suppliers
Lead and drive key supplier’s continuous improvement
Lead the implementation of PPAP for NPI to improve 1st sample passing ratio
Participate/conduct customer/supplier audit
Participate/conduct finished products and components audit
Support to promote and manage continuous improvement projects/activities in quality area, in alignment with Alfa Laval quality strategy
Support line management in their (line management) quality accountability
Requirements:
Relevant technical education (e.g., B.Sc./M.Sc. in Mechanical or Electrical field)
At least 7 years of experience in quality function, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting in muti-national company
Experience in managing supplier and customer claims, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Familiar with ISO standards and quality tools (e.g., QC 7 tools, 8D, FMEA, CP, APQP, PPAP), preferably familiar with 6 sigma
Take the leader for assigned quality project or complex quality issue improvement
Proactive and analytical mindset with a focus on risk prevention
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
Fluent in English, both oral and written
Nice to have:
Experience and knowledge of project management
Experience and knowledge from marine / shipbuilding industry
