Job Description:

As the Quality and Food Safety Expert, you will be a recognized subject matter expert in the field, responsible for managing large projects and processes with limited oversight. You will coach, review, and delegate work to other professionals to drive effectiveness and improvement of the Pathogen Monitoring Program (PMP). You’ll influence policies, practices, and procedures to achieve operational targets with a significant impact on departmental and factory results. You will contribute to significant improvements to processes, systems, and products.

Job Responsibility:

  • Promote sharing of best practices and liaise with other functions and businesses to drive continuous improvement
  • Analyze difficult and sometimes complex problems, requiring consideration of multiple issues and specialties
  • Collaborate with multiple parties and job functions including Purina factory teams, corporate teams, and external partners
  • Ensure development of competencies in quality by coaching, training, and promoting a Quality culture
  • Ensure food safety and compliance by adhering to all principles, policies, and regulations set by Purina Quality, local, state, national, and international law
  • Collaborate to set up, enforce, and maintain the Management System, whether within Nestlé or in relation to supplier management, contract manufacturing, or licensing businesses

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 7+ years’ experience in food safety, quality, or a related area
